The idea behind Crosskeys Stores was born out of multiple requests for us to produce bespoke metal artwork for friends and family. Our day-to-day business consists of producing structural steel buildings, but we quickly ascertained from the feedback on the art work that our design team had an eye for more.
Paul started up the business in the structural steel sector in 2013, supplying, fabricating, and welding large beams for the industry. Part of this process included the use of a plasma cutting machine. Together with the design team, he started producing small items such as hanging basket brackets, bistro tables and key hooks.
In 2020, Joe joined the team and the company invested in a larger, more sophisticated plasma machine. The decision was made to start putting it to use in an ‘artier’ way. Together with the team, Joe expanded the portfolio of products and now with two high tech plasma machines and our design software, we really can bring your ideas to life!
All of our products are made from high quality steel plate and are either powder coated in the colour of your choice or left rustic to naturally rust. Our products include tables, benches, firepits, wall art, business signage & much more – the possibilities are endless! Please contact us if you’d like to discuss a custom design.
Joe, being a target shooting enthusiast, also came up with the idea of shooting targets made from Hardox, which is a hardened grade of steel plate to stop the bullet piercing it. From small gongs to full sized deer, we can make a target to suit your needs.
